I have been to most of the Indian restaurants in Glasgow and near by but while driving to Dunoon, we saw this place and thought to ourselves should we try Indian food here. Well it turned out to be one of best places I have had Indian food, but their service was just excellent. They kept my 2 yr old son entertained by giving him something or other. when I think of Indian places I never expect that kind of hospitality but they were too good.

Brilliant Indian in Gourock main street. There were 13 of us who had pre booked. Table was ready for us and so were the wonderful staff. Everything was fantastic everyone was delighted with the excellent food and the service could not be faulted. Just to top it all off, the staff ran us all to the ferry free of charge. Can't wait to go back!

I visited my favourite Indian restaurant twice this week. Once on Tuesday, 4th June 2024 with 7 ex colleagues and again tonight, 8th June with 10 family members for a farewell get-together before we head home to Melbourne. On both occasions the food was, as always, amazing! The staff were attentive and pleasant and, to top it all, I received a lovely parting gift. Thanks Team Taj, we will certainly be back on our next visit home!

We got a takeaway from here for a party of 20 on Saturday night. I only called the order in on Thursday evening but they were more than happy to provide some food for our party. Customer service & price were great. The food was amazing, everyone at the party commented on how good it was and most people had 2nds! 100% recommend.

Wow! Absolutely amazing authentic Indian food. We had several curries, but the Murgh Makhani (Butter Chicken) was probably the best we’ve had anywhere in the world. Highly recommend!

Attentive service, great food. We were sat at an odd table in front of the kitchen door which meant it was busy around us but this did not detract from the quality of the food not the service. A nice touch was the owner asking what we liked in terms of ingredients and making (excellent) recommendations on that basis. Will definitely be going back in the future. They also do takeaway.

Food is always amazing here and great pricing too. Me and partner both ordered 2 chilli sweet chickens, some chicken chat, special rice and naan bread, came to about 36. Most of the time we’re so stuff we can barely finish it! But will keep for next day lol.

Fab family run business. Large choice on menu or can ask for recommendations. Good idea to book as very popular. Catered for gluten free. Wines, beers and spirits and soft drinks. The medium dishes are quite hot (spicy) and arrive on sizzle dishes. Some already come with rice so be careful not to over order extra rice like we did but we were given takeaway containers to take home the excess food. Some on street parking free after 6pm. Take away available. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
